Aurora over Harrison. Fine Art Panorama

from $150.00

High above Harrison Lake and Harrison Peak in the Idaho Selkirk Mountains the aurora plays in the sky. I had an inkling to come out here for the lights. So dropping everything even after being up all night the evening before I headed for the trailhead at dusk. Hiking to the light of a full moon I reached Harrison Lake and then proceeded to hike in new territory for me. At one point I chose the wrong side and had to navigate around a cliff behind the shadow of the moon. But I took my time and made it. The Aurora came back out strong and I just couldn’t sleep as long as it was in the sky. It ended up fighting the dawn for first light. This is a special sized panorama.
