Winds of Change (Cape Disappointment, Washington)

from $40.00

It was Saturday. The highest tide of the December 2024 king tides. The day before gale force winds and rain and blown off the western coast of Oregon and Washington. But that Saturday morning the clouds parted and the big waves hit the shore with some of the most splendid light I have ever seen on the ocean. At first the wind continued to blow hard. During a gust is when I caught this wave being shaped not only by the tides, but the heavy winds. In the background light shown down in rays and birds flew in the air. A magical moment I was able to capture.
